On the island she met Sprig Plantar, a 10-year-old adventurous frog and befriended him. Sprig introduced her to his family and they hosted her in their home until she could return home. Anne met Sasha, her friend from Earth, on the island. Later she also tries to find her friend Marcy Wu who came from Earth but is in another city.
