The series tells the story of four round, colorful characters with antennae on their heads and TV tuners on their bellies, which allow them to watch children's shows (each time a different Teletubby broadcasts the show). The Teletubbies live in grassy, floral landscape populated by rabbits with bird calls audible in the background, in a futuristic house located between green hills and where many rabbits and flowers capable of talking also live. The teletubbies also eat together and eat "teletubby pudding" and "teletubby toast", a pancake with a smiling face made of vanilla. The main characters are Tinky Winky (purple), Dipsy (green), Laa-laa (yellow) and Po (red).
