Coloring pages of Son Goku. Son Goku (Japanese: 孫 悟空) also briefly known as Goku, is the main character in the Japanese TV series and manga "Dragon Ball". It was originally created as a comic book character by Akira Toriyama, and his character is based on Sun Wakong's ((Monkey King) main character in the novel "Journey to the West". Goku was portrayed as a strange boy with a monkey tail, who practices martial arts and has superhuman power in his hand. Although it was commonly thought at the beginning of the series that Goku was a human, it was later discovered that he was part of a race called the "Saiyans", an alien race of primate-like ones and whose real name is Cacaruto.
Goku has extraordinary abilities such as: extreme power, unusual speed, fast reflexes, impressive endurance, and the ability to create energy waves that come from the "power". When he was a child, Goku held in his possession a magical stick that would lengthen and shorten as instructed. In addition he received a cloud on which he could ride vast distances. He used it a lot in the Dragon Ball series, but after he started learning the aviation technique he used it less and less gradually (so he bequeathed it to Gohan).
The fighting move associated with Goku is the "Kamehameha". In this attack he releases a wave of energy, and this is what he learned from his first teacher Master Roshi. Another technique identified with it is "Kaiō-ken", which allows the fighter to double his strength and speed while exerting enormous pressure on the body. His most powerful technique is the "Genki-Dama". This technique uses the energy found in nature and the living creatures in the environment to create a large energy sphere.
