International Anti-Corruption Day- 9 December

Corruption is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit.
International Anti-Corruption Day was launched in 2003 by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness of corruption and highlight the role of the UN Convention on the fight against corruption and elimination.
Some of the ways that can help promote this day, governments around the world, private businesses, NGOs, the media and the general public, is by organizing creative activities or reporting incidents of corruption, using the logo against corruption of the United Nations publications and events and spread the message through social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
Since today was first held, the organizers of the day, United Nations Development Program and the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, says that the lack of tolerance for corruption has increased, indicating that this ever-increasing number of politicians and CEOs who were tried and convicted of corruption crimes.
