Peanut butter is one of the most popular spreads in the world, so it got its own day, January 24. Peanut butter day is one of the days of national food celebrated in the United States, but because we love it also with us, why not celebrate it all over the world?
The peanut butter is a spread made from crushed peanuts and butter, with lots of calories. 598 calories per 100 grams, or 188 calories per 2 tablespoons. But it also contains essential nutrients such as proteins, various types of vitamin B, iron, calcium and more.

The Aztecs and the Inca tribe prepared peanut butter as an ointment that relieves toothache in the first century AD.

The first to prescribe the peanut butter patent was Marcellus Gilmore Edson (1849-1940) from Montreal, Quebec (Canada). He wrote the patent for a product whose texture is like a paste, with roasted peanuts and sugar, in 1884.
The peanut butter can be used as a spread in a sandwich, with jam, chocolate spread, honey or alone.
There are snacks that contain peanut butter such as Reese's peanut butter and chocolate cake. There are recipes for peanut butter cookies with oats or chocolate and also chicken coated with peanut butter.
