Global Beatles Day - June 25

World Beatles Day is a love letter from around the world to the Beatles. The Beatles came into the world in the 60s of the last century with songs written by their friends Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon themselves, with messages of peace and love, truth and youth.

They brought with them new musical ideas and artistic styles that had not sounded like them until then.World Beatles Day (GBD) was founded in 2009, to honor and celebrate the phenomenon of the Beatles and their Ideals, collectively, and thank them for their gifts to the world, for promoting peace and love, for rhythm and blues, pop, rock and roll, world music and all the beauty That we gave to the world.
The Beatles paved the way for global change in the areas of personal expression, fashion, creativity and art. They had the most impact on world society than anyone else of their time.
The reason for choosing June 25 as a world holiday in honor of the Beatles is that the song "All You Need Is Love," written by John Lennon, aired on the first live broadcast on world television, on the BBC network, on June 25, 1967, To 26 countries around the world.
World Beatles Day is not meant to be a consumer holiday, nor is it a "fandom" day. This day is meant to spread the messages of the band naturally, messages of peace and love, the legacy left by the band.

Here are some of the messages the band left in their songs:
money can't buy me love
I don't care too much for money For money can't buy me love

Remember to let her into your heart
And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make
I get by with a little help from my friends

Valentine's day- 14th February

Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. It originated as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine and is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world.

No matter if we have to celebrate this day or not, on February 14th we are flooded with advertisements wherever possible, reminding us that it is best not to forget to buy gifts, flowers and chocolates, for our spouses, if we do not want to sleep in the living room tonight.
The source of Valentine's day
There are several versions of the origin of this holiday, but the most common version is the one that tells of the days of Emperor Claudius II, in 270 AD. The cruel Claudius forbade his men to marry during the war because he believed they were strong and able to fight better when they were single.

Bishop Valentine rallied against him and secretly married couples in love. He was apprehended and imprisoned and on February 14 executed. Before he died he wrote a letter from prison to his daughter and signed with the words "Yours, Valentine." Valentine has since become a symbol of lovers and the day of his execution for Valentine's Day.
In the Middle Ages the girls would celebrate Valentine’s Day by eating strange foods because that is how they believed they would dream at night about their future husband. There was also a tradition of passing a bowl with notes of names between the men and women and they would pull out a note and find out who would be their favorite. After the lottery, the name of the favorite would be embroidered on the sleeve.
But what is love? here are some beautiful quotes for Valentine's day

A little girl asks her older brother: what us love? The brother answers: love is when I know that every day you steal chocolate from my bag, but I keep putting it in the same place...

Love is when you can't experience anything without wishing the other person were there to see it, too.

Love means accept him with all the failures, stupid and ugly  things and yet to see

perfection in his imperfection.

Madly In Love With Me Day - February 13th

As you can guess, the reason to celebrate "Madly in Love with me day" on February 13, the day before International Valentine's Day, is clear. If tomorrow we celebrate Valentine’s Day for our spouses and focus on them, today is the day to love ourselves and put ourselves before others without guilt.

Self-love is the belief that you are a precious and worthy person. When we have a positive outlook on ourselves we are confident in ourselves and our place in the world.

Before we celebrate our relationship, we must first make sure that we are also our own best friends. Because only if we love ourselves, we can also love the other. Because when we love ourselves, we can be in a healthy relationship where we do not constantly please the other and give up on ourselves. In a healthy relationship we are in a place that is good for us, and if not we go.

Self-love is also perceived as a basic human need to take care of ourselves and fight for ourselves, but also as a moral defect, when it is perceived as selfishness, arrogance, egocentrism, narcissism and so on. Over the years the concept of self-love has gained a more positive connotation through social movements, pride marches, self-love protests, the hippie era, the feminist movement of the new age as well as rising awareness of mental health promoting self-love, personal training and self-help and support groups.

Self-love was first promoted by the Beat generation of the 1950s and the early years of the hippie era in the 1960s. After witnessing the devastating consequences of World War II and what was happening in the Vietnam War, Western societies (especially North America) began to promote “peace and love” to produce positive energy that would bring peace and fight polluting and harmful industries to the environment.

The source of Madly In Love With Me Day

Christine Arylo, author of Madly in Me Book and self-help guru, is the creator of Madly In Love With Me Day. In her book she teaches how to love ourselves and what is meant by self-love in general according to the following principles:

  • Give yourself first without guilt.
  • Wash yourself with loving words instead of criticism and comparison
  • Go for your dreams with perseverance and courage
  • Choose the situations and relationships that make you happy
  • Discover and explore your deepest thoughts and desires - and act on them.

How to celebrate Madly In Love With Me Day?

To love yourself means to accept yourself with all the disadvantages and advantages and to appreciate yourself without any conditions. Loving yourself is the opposite of measuring yourself and deciding how much you are worth based on how others treat you. Today is the day to decide that you love yourself unconditionally, to make sure that you are at the top of your priorities and to make sure that you are well where you are, without feeling guilty or ashamed.

So just before Valentine's Day that falls tomorrow, make sure to love who you really are with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, all the days of your life - you !!

Satisfied Staying Single Day - 11 February

It's Fun to be single day is a day of hitting before getting hit by Valentine's Day, which comes three days later, on February 14.
Unlike Valentine's Day, which is a commercial and sticky holiday, full of Teddy bears and chocolates in the shape of a heart, the fun to be single day is a calm day, the day where you can do whatever you want, enjoy the things you love to do alone and not to get stressed out because you have no spouse. It's a day to go out without looking around you and observe if the other potential half of yours is there, just relax and enjoy being alone with yourself!
You are just fine the way you are, even if you do not have a partner to confirm that you are worth it.

Satisfied Staying Single Day

The Satisfied Staying Single Day was created by Thomas and Ruth Roy from wellcat.com. However, there is no mention of the year they started celebrating this day. The creator of the fun day to be single came up with the idea because of the upcoming Valentine's Day, and so singles want to let the rest of the world know that being single is okay and it's okay to save money and not spend it on flowers and sweets unless they are for yourself. You can be happy alone, dance without a partner, go out alone and not spend too much of your money for your partner and more. When there is such a day, those same bachelors are no longer seen by others as pathetic or embarrassing.

National Hugging Day- 21 January

National hug Day is an annual event created by   Kevin Zaborney from United States. It is not an official holiday and it started in the US alone, but there are reports that it celebrated on the same day in many countries.
Hugs Day celebrated the first time on January 21, 1986, in the city Clio, Michigan, USA. The idea of this day is to encourage everyone to embrace their family and friends more often. Zaborney warns to ask first if they want to embrace if you are not sure.
Whether you hug a family member, a friend or a stranger, mental health benefits and physical are identical.

Zaborney chose the date January 21, because it falls between Christmas, New Year's and Valentine, and people usually have depressed mood between holidays.
He wanted to encourage the American society that "ashamed to show emotions in public" and hoped that one embraces day will change that. A 2003 study done by a research institute Medical School at the University of Miami found that American couples spend only a one-third time in body contact than French couples spend.
