Chocolate Caramel Day - March 19

Today we celebrated a great combination of two amazing flavors - chocolate and caramel. Caramel has a special taste and smell, which is a bit difficult to define, ranges from sweet to bitter and is formed from sugar that is heated and becomes liquid and chocolate has a special and addictive taste that we do not need to define because we all know. The two together put a smile on faces and an addictive sense of happiness, if only for a few moments.

Caramel chocolate is one of the greatest culinary inventions in history. The origin of the caramel is not really known. It lies somewhere in the two hundred years between 1650 and 1880 in the Americas, when the new settlers tried to make candies by heating water with their sugar added fat and milk, and thus the caramel was born. During this period refined sugar was rare and expensive, so the caramel was often prepared with sugar beet juice.
One of the most successful and famous makers of caramel candy in the late 19th century was Milton Hershey of Pennsylvania, USA. There he bought German chocolate machines which he was very enthusiastic about. He bought the equipment and soon started making their chocolate bars and added the ingredient from which he had previously earned a respectable living - the caramel.

How to celebrate Caramel Chocolate Day?
Make caramel from one of the most successful recipes on the Internet. Add it to chocolate, ice cream, popcorn or whatever you want. You can also buy tables or caramel chocolate bars and enjoy this successful and special combination.

Forgive Mom & Dad Day- March 18

It is not easy to be a parent. Parenting is a very challenging task and although some parents are better than others, none of them are perfect. March 18 is Forgive Dad and Mom day for the mistakes they made.
This day is an opportunity to let go of the pains of the past and the frustrations, and to understand that our parents had good intentions, even if they let us down and seemed to make it difficult for us in life.
Freeing yourself from anger at parents and forgiveness will help you find the freedom and open the door to a better relationship with them and a better future.

When we are children, we try to achieve independence, and when we make mistakes, it is not always easy for parents to accept it. The big question of parenting is to what extent allow the child to live his life the way he wants and do what they see as a mistake and not prevent it from happening. Especially in our time, when so many changes have taken place and things are so different from the past.
Forgiveness Day for Parents is a day that encourages their acceptance. Today accept them as they are and understand that they are human beings who make mistakes. Just like us.
Parenting does not come with a guide. And parenting guidebooks are not always right. We all have complaints about our parents, so if we let go of the anger and understand that everything comes from worry, we will reach a state of greater health, happiness and well-being.

World Sleep Day- The Friday before Spring Vernal Equinox

The day of the reversal or spring equinox falls every year on March 20th. This is a day where the length of daytime hours equals the hours of night and spring begins. From here the hours of light get longer and the hours of darkness shorten. So Friday before that is World Sleep Day, a great day to grab a long nap or wake up late in the morning if possible or sleep all day.
World Sleep Day is an annual event designed to help people with sleep problems, teach people everywhere about the importance of sleep and change the way people see and experience sleep by providing valuable resources to help them sleep well in their daily lives.
World Sleep Day focuses on issues related to sleep, sleep medicine, sleep education and the social effects that sleep deprivation has on daily life.
The day is organized by the World Sleep Day Organization (WSD) and aims to reduce the burden of sleep problems on society through better prevention and management of sleep disorders.

Global Recycling Day - March 18

Every day we use the earth's natural resources and produce tons of waste that is harmful to it.
At some point, the earth will no longer have its natural substances to give us and on the other hand, it will be so polluted by the waste we throw at it, that the situation may be very bad.

The Global Recycling Foundation initiated the recycling day to raise awareness of the importance of packaging recycling, ie the reuse of the materials we used instead of throwing them in the trash.
It's not that hard for us. All we have to do is keep the packaging of the products we used and instead of throwing in the trash, throw in the appropriate recycling bin. Every settlement has such containers and it is not difficult to find them.
The paper products can be recycled to be used again and reduce the felling of trees that are so important for life on earth. The plastic products can be recycled to stop throwing them in piles on the ground and causing its contamination. The plastic bags are important to recycle so that they do not reach the ground, contaminate it and endanger the lives of the animals by suffocation. Batteries and electronic products are also very important to recycle so that they do not contaminate the ground.
The pollution caused by the non-perishable materials impairs the quality of our soil and permeates our drinking water as well.

If you have not yet become accustomed to packaging recycling, it is very important that you get started. For the sake of the planet and the future of your children, the next generation, adopt the habit of recycling and do not give it up! All you need is to sort and throw in the appropriate containers. The earth will thank you.
In addition to packaging recycling, you can also use the packaging and items you bought and you no longer need for other things.
Examples of materials that can be recycled and turned into lovely things: old tires. Bottles and packaging for use as flower pots, old TVs, egg cartons, old computers, dollhouses made of plastic bottles, popsicle sticks and more.

Submarine Day - March 17

The submarine day is a day designed to honor and cherish the manned vessel, designed to sail under the sea surface.
On March 17, 1897, Irish engineer John Philip Holland sailed the first submarine in the world off Staten Island, New York. This was not the first time he presented his submarine design. The first was introduced to the United States Navy in 1875, but they rejected his idea because they thought it would not work. He continued to work and improve his submarine, and in 1897 he sailed the first submarine that had the power to sail underwater for a considerable distance, and the first to incorporate electric motors powered by gasoline. Beginning in 1900, the Navy purchased more submarines designed by the Netherlands and the rest is history.

In honor of the submarine day: The Beatles- Yellow Submarine
