Pizza Day is a perfect holiday, the opportunity for anyone who's crazy about pizza (like me) to order pizza or prepare at home, without excuses and without guilt.

The history of pizza
The pizza is known to be a food originating in Italy, and the first time it appeared was in the tenth century in Naples. The pizza started out as a simple food that poor people who did not have much to eat prepared. This amazing dish started out as something that simple peasants who did not have enough food could afford: dough, tomatoes and cheese.

The invention of the pizza
The base of the pizza is probably the pita brought by the Arabs who occupied parts of southern Italy at the beginning of the tenth century. The Italians upgraded the idea and put on a pita dough a variety of Italian dishes, including hard cheeses.
Only later was added tomato sauce pizza. The tomatoes arrived in Europe at the beginning of the 16th century, when Europeans circled around the world for commercial purposes, reaching, among others, Peru in South America.
The Europeans initially did not eat the tomatoes because they thought they were toxic to humans, but soon the use of tomatoes became very popular, especially for the poor.
The poor from Naples, Italy, were the first to add tomatoes to the pizza dough. The idea was successful and spread throughout the region. The classic pizza in Italy is a margherita pizza, the three ingredients of which are white cheese, green basil and red tomato sauce. These colors symbolize the colors of the Italian flag.

The pizza arrived in the United States at the end of the 18th century with the Italian immigrants, and in 1905 a man named Lombardi opened the first pizzeria in America, in New York City, but Lombardi's pizzeria still exists and works in Manhattan, in the Nolita neighborhood.

Hollywood Walk of Fame Establishment day - February 8

Today in 1960, the Hollywood Walk of Fame was inaugurated, a sidewalk between Wayne Street and Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California, USA, with more than 2,500 stars, with each star the name of a celebrity who has made a significant contribution to the entertainment industry.
The initiative to dedicate the avenue to people who have contributed to the culture comes from the Hollywood City Council, which hired artist Oliver Weissmuller for this purpose. In 1958 he created it, with 2,500 blank stars. In the first six months, the names of entertainers were stamped on 1,558 stars. The stars were divided into five categories according to achievements in film, theater, radio, television and music and were entertainers whose names were imprinted on several stars.
In recent decades the trend has been to give single stars to cultural figures who have not yet received a star.

The official launch ceremony of the boulevard took place on February 8, 1960 due to legal complications that delayed its inauguration.
Actress Joan Woodward is considered the first to win a star on the avenue, but she may have been among the first and simply the first to be photographed with her star.
Gene Otter, a well-known celebrity in the field of acting, singing, songwriting and rodeo is the only one to receive 5 stars in the five categories.
Every year on May 31, the Avenue of the Stars Council announces the candidates for new stars. In June, celebrities will be selected to receive a star and a star-studded ceremony hosted by the Honorable Mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant, open to the general public.
There is complete secrecy regarding the identities of the members of the Avenue of the Stars Council and many attempts by the media to find out who they were unsuccessful.
The youngest celebrities to receive a star are twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who received the star at the age of 17.
Starring fictional characters: Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Snow White, Woody Woodpecker, Bugs Bunny, Donald Duck, Godzilla, Kermit the Frog, Lassie the Bitch, The Simpsons, Phi Wei Herman, Regrets, C-3PO, Shrek, Tinker Bell , Snoopy and more.
The first character from an animated film to receive a star was Mickey Mouse, who received the star in 1978 in honor of his 50th birthday.

Mickey Mouse - Hollywood Star!
If you want to get to the Avenue of the Stars, it stretches from east to west on Hollywood Avenue, from Gower Street to La Rode Avenue and north to south on Wayne Street, between Yuka Street and Sunset Avenue.
Inside each star is the name of the celebrity and under its name a symbol of the category in which he contributed to the entertainment industry: film camera for the film industry, TV for the TV industry, record for the music industry, radio for the radio industry and a pair of tragedy and comedy masks for the theater industry.

Not much is known about the early history of the island of Grenada . Before Christopher Columbus came to it in 1498 it was inhabited by Indians of the Caribbean tribe. Columbus gave Grenada  the name "Concepción" (Spanish: Concepción), and the name Grenada was later given to it by Spanish sailors who probably came from the city of Granada in Spain. In the 18th century the name "Grenada" became the official name of the country.
The Europeans were in no hurry to settle on the island for over a hundred years after discovering it, because of the Caribbean Indian tribes who were warriors and cannibals. In 1650 the French shipping company of the cardinal Richelieu purchased the island and established a European settlement there, after many wars with the Indians and bringing an army from the island of Martinique as reinforcements. The French established the city of Fort Royal which today is the capital of the island, St. George's.
In 1762 Britain conquered the island from the French during the Seven Years' War.
Until 1782 the island's economy was based on growing sugarcane done by forced labor of slaves. In 1782, botanist Joseph Banks discovered that the soil and climatic conditions in Grenada were ideal for growing nutmeg. The demand for this nut was very large in the European and American markets and established the economic status of the island. In 1834, as part of the abolition of slavery throughout the British Empire, slavery in Grenada was also outlawed.
On 7 February 1974, Grenada gained full political independence from Britain. It joined the Commonwealth of Independent States and adopted the model of the constitutional monarchy. The head of state of Grenada is the British Queen Elizabeth II.
In Grenada there is significant negative migration. 50% of its population are under 30 years old.
The origin of most of the inhabitants of Grenada is Africa. The official language of the country is English, and the other languages spoken there are Creole, French and Patua. The dominant religion in the country is Christianity.
If you want to travel in Grenada, you will need to get to Maurice Bishop International Airport or its port. The city of St. George's is one of the most picturesque and beautiful cities in the Caribbean. St. George's Harbor is a harbor with a magical and picturesque view of the city built on hills. It has a modern wharf of cruise ships, a market and a promenade with plenty of shops and restaurants. The residents are kind and welcome the tourists cordially. The beaches of Grenada are quiet, clear and clean. Grenada is a paradise for diving enthusiasts - it has coral reefs, a sunken ship and an underwater sculpture garden. The sunken ship is the "Bianca", a holiday ship that burned and sank in 196 near the coast. Today it is home to giant sea turtles, eels and barracuda.
Grenada has beautiful waterfalls, parks and lakes and an abundance of interesting birds.

International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation- February 6

February 6 has been declared by the UN today as zero tolerance for female  Genital Mutilation.
Female  Genital Mutilation is a cruel practice committed primarily against minors aged 3-13, which involves all procedures involving partial or complete removal of the external female genitalia, or other injury to the female genitalia for non-medical reasons, and is recognized worldwide as a violation of the human rights of girls and women.
Female  Genital Mutilation is very common especially in Northeast African countries, the Horn of Africa and West Africa. The custom also exists among the Bedouin and Kurds in the Middle East (except in Israel). Thousands of women go through the process every day, even today.

The custom is almost non-existent in Muslim countries in the rest of the Middle East and Central Asia.
Female circumcision is a cruel way of reflecting the inequality that is rooted between the sexes and is an extreme form of discrimination against women. Female circumcision not only destroys women's lives by infringing on their physical integrity and right to sexual pleasure, but also endangers their lives. The surgeries are apparently performed without medical supervision and often, with contaminated knives, leading to the deaths of many as a result of the surgery.
The practice of female circumcision has been going on for more than a thousand years, but the World Health Organization and UNICEF are working to eradicate it completely from the world. One of their major achievements was its outlawing in Egypt and Eritrea, but it seems the road is still long.
Although it seems to be done only in Third World countries, it turns out that even in Europe Muslims practice their daughters in secret. In East London, in 2010, young Muslim girls undergo the painful surgery at the initiative of their mothers Link to the article.
